Is it kind of "teaching" you german-lessons? Or maybe translating things you don't understand (such as some regional-slang)?

Pretty much any and all of the above. Sometimes dictating, some times helping me read, sometimes helping me compose letters and learn how to say/write things in German.

Thanks Nico, appreciate your willingness to assist. I really need a "stammtisch" where I can sit and talk and write on a regular basis and where the learning is the most important thing. Too often I am trying to learn while working and it creates a lot of confusion.
