The Calling by Filth_Noir From the gallery The Black Door
The Wind turned immediately, when he finally felt recognized. After all this time, someone had heard his call again. He gathered his remaining strength for a proper greeting and accelerated for the last few hundred miles that were separating them.
The Woman stood still on the rugged scarp. It was like breathing for the first time whilst suffocating simultaneously. She could hear distant chimes ringing in the skies, heralding an ancient ritual, everything was bright, golden lights were shimmering between the drifting clouds. The Wind had turned, and she felt the first harbingers dancing in her hair that announced his arrival.
