Hello Artists!

My name is Azul, and I am an interdisciplinary artist based between Mexico and Europe. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Arts from Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, with previous studies in Renaissance Art History at the Florence Academy of Art and formal acting training at CEDART Luis Spota Saavedra.

Since 2016, my artistic practice has maintained a strong social focus, with experience facilitating workshops that use art as a tool for social engagement, including reading and theatre activities for children in vulnerable communities.

My professional practice includes acting, theatre directing, modeling for galleries, figure drawing sessions, painting, photography, and collaborations with visual and performance artists. I deeply enjoy creating meaningful work through the body, performance, and image. While I especially love art nude and shibari-inspired projects, I am always open to hearing new concepts and exploring creative possibilities with the right collaborators.

During this time I am focusing much more on my film and documentary work, but I still shoot from time to time. I travel often, so there is always a chance we may be nearby and able to create together.

My work has been presented internationally in venues such as Museum Dr. Guislain, the Prague Quadrennial, and Dutch Earth Week. I have also collaborated in cultural management with the International Film Festival Rotterdam and Milan Design Week.

This year I am also opening space for selected collaborations and creative exchanges, especially in projects related to film, performance, and experimental visual storytelling. If you have an idea in mind, feel free to reach out—I would love to hear about it.
