I’m Astrid Kallsen, a full time muse. I love modeling. When I graduated college, I fully intended to go in a different direction in my life, but found myself drawn to modeling more each year. I recently have gotten endometriosis, and this hasn't decreased my love for this work. I still hike, swim, and pose in a variety of locations and styles. I gained weight from my condition, and have been embracing more rubenesque, abstract, and sultry posing styles in my art while I have a new look to try out. I take a bit more selective bookings at the moment as I focus on trying to get surgery this year.
In my free time, I enjoy scouting and hiking locations that I can recommend for artists later, and working on my self portraits. The self portraits have taught me so much about cameras, lighting, lenses, editing, etc. I can assist in troubleshooting technical problems and deliberating on concept development!
I don't intend to ever stop touring. I want to continue working with the amazing artists out there. I have started hosting teaching workshops and photo events throughout the year for photographers. In Seattle, Atlanta, and North Florida, I can host photographers for day tours to a few locations I know for incredible outdoor landscapes to photograph. I am working on providing artist reference sets, portfolio and business reviews/ art consultations, and a fun T-shirt/merch line.
