Jeff, Photographer & Showman: He began his career in film photography (1997), music (1995 / drums and percussion), author (songs, photo novels, short stories, interviews, etc.), but above all, a protean artist who combines different forms of expression on paper or on stage: body painting, chroma-key (photography on a green screen), costume or prop construction, fire & pyro performance, computer graphics, etc.
Creation drives him in his entirety, with tools such as resourcefulness and autonomy. Meeting people as a major focus, with the homemade setup of a photo studio, a recording studio, the Explorus (stage/mobile studio), an outdoor stage, etc. A life committed to Shared Art!
Discover more on his website and social media. Jeff Mougenot, with reverbere productions, is looking for male and female makeup artists to perform with him (dancers, performers, jugglers, acrobats, stilt walkers, etc.). A few rare collaborations are possible at his studio. -

Aside from my personal creations (created with only two or three close models who patiently undergo my various experiments in makeup tests, shibari, etc.), I rarely collaborate.
Photography is a professional activity; I work with each person's personality to create original images that reflect your unique style! EVERYONE is welcome: with family, alone, or with their pet. Even if a special occasion or celebration is the trigger for your decision, the desire to live a unique experience and to have FUN should be the essence of your approach.
Preparation is really important; the ideal is to call me, make an initial contact, and simply discuss. Only then can we determine the time required and the cost of your project. In the studio (in Malbouhans) or on the road (in an Explorus), we can work together on chromakey: green screen (allow between 1 and 4 hours to be relaxed if there's no makeup/body painting involved).
I then work on backgrounds, keeping in mind the information we've shared and any input you may have provided: personal letters, the texture of your favorite wallpaper, etc. I then spend between 3 and 8 hours on each image.
Send request 2012: He began his makeup career (then Shibari the same year, thanks to Philippe Boxis's guidance) to enrich his image customization work. The geographical distance from the capital or major cities means having to adapt and evolve using a from A to Z system. Computer graphics retouching only involves superimposed planes, backgrounds, etc., but models often serve as a support for his brushes or various real materials without computer-aided body reconstruction (real bodypaintings/makeup).
Other artists (hairdressers, prop makers, jewelry designers, etc.) such as sculptor Romain Bresson and painter Elise Poisenot contribute to the realization of these pictorial projects.Jeff Mougenot began photography in 1997 with F.Bitter. They worked together on black and white film techniques by night. He then became interested in scenes and portraits of everyday life. In 1999, he won the Mercurey Prize at the national competition of the F.F.P. (French Federation of Photography). His first report was made in Poland in 2000, just before Tunisia, Morocco, Italy, Spain, etc. In 2001, he went on a 7-month image quest in Mexico.
Starting in 2011, he adopted a radically different approach as he entered the digital age (although he still prefers film reportage to this day). He focuses on transforming his images using Photoshop to create a unique universe tailored to his models. The process of assembling images is never trivial: there are sometimes hidden elements that correspond to the experience of the person being portrayed. Most of the time, research is even carried out on their five senses (cinematographic, musical, or literary sensibilities, anecdotes about their travels, experiences, etc.). The idea is to find common vectors to construct a visual based on a story.
From a second perspective, Jeff seeks to create more personal series, also linked to his tastes (steampunk, rock, freaky circus, burlesque, sci-fi/fantasy, etc.) or to his projects. He tries to combine different artistic expressions without feeling like he has an imposed figure or is restricted for any reason.
In 2019, he joined the Photoxyde collective with Marc Dubord. He participated in the European Nude Festival in Arles in May of that year, then exhibited from September to November at the Concorde Art Gallery (Paris).
2019-2021: Publication of the books Luxa, Lune & Lumière and Frederica Lolly, creation of a home stage, establishment of his duo Jeff&Lolly, all leading to numerous exhibitions, concerts, and festivals throughout Europe.
2024: released the book Noark 2492.More than 34 shows have been written by Jeff on different themes: steampunk, vintage, world culture, post apo, cyber, freaky circus...). He uses his inventions (light furniture, percussion on wheels), to offer a unique show by mixing his skills: music, makeup, fire, pyro... with those of other artists: dance, magic, singing, pole dancing...
Jeff is originally an author and a musician since 1992. He began his career in black and white film photography in 1997. Winner of the Mercurey Prize in 1999 at the FFP national competition, he has hundreds of performances to his credit:
• Concerts (with his groups: Tatanka, Irais, Séveryne, Un Saucisson de Malfaiteurs, Jokers, Nazka, or with his own team/duo shows...
• Exhibitions (Arles Festival, Concorde... with his collective photoxyde, solo for a multitude of galleries, trade shows, fairs...)
• Shows (from Une Ombre sous la lune/Emilie Jolie in 1994 to the stage of Dani Lary's magic workshops, countless stages, trade shows, and fairs throughout Europe). He notably performed over 34 choreographed solo shows, more than 200 costumes, pyro/fireworks/fireworks, percussion, his Explorus stage truck...
A Sacem author since 2002: 150 titles in English, French, and Spanish, he completed an Ardemo writing internship in Aix-en-Provence with Georges Moustaki in 2007.
He programs venues/festivals, creates his events, and shoots interviews/photos for the print magazine Cult: sound, image, and words give rhythm to his breathing...
