ABOUT ME
My name is Carsten and I’m a Danish photographer, born in 1971, and currently based in the Malmö area in Sweden. Photography has been my passion since 2003.
My main focus has always been photographing people, particularly women. I see each shoot as an opportunity to let creativity flow freely and to highlight individuality, beauty, and expression in a way that feels natural and striking.
HOW I WORK
I believe photography should be a collaborative and enjoyable experience. My approach to photography is both professional and flexible. I value collaboration and encourage input, as great ideas often emerge during a session. My style is spontaneous and flexible - I often let one pose or style inspire the next, which keeps the session dynamic and creative.
This method ensures a smooth workflow while leaving room for creativity and adjustments along the way. Whether in the studio or on location, I aim to create a comfortable atmosphere where models can feel at ease, resulting in natural and striking images.
PRACTICAL STUFF
* Malmö, Sweden is just 30 minutes away from Copenhagen, Denmark by train.
* I prefer to shoot in my home studio, in eastern Malmö in Sweden, for comfort but I also do home and location shoots.
* My home studio is located 15 minutes by car from Hyllie station. I will of course pick you up from the station and back after the shoot.
* I can host a model in my guest room if it’s any help for your tour planning.
Please bear in mind that this is a hobby for me - I don't sell the pictures, either to websites or anyone else. But I do like to exhibit my work on my website and other photography oriented website where the pictures are appropriate. While not being a professional, I do try to be as professional and respectful as possible in my interaction with models, but I also like to have an enjoyable and comfortable atmosphere with easy conversation before, during and after a shoot - I do this because it's fun.
The model always get a copy of the edited pictures and I don't publish pictures before the model have said ok for it or we have agreed beforehand that I don't need to ask :)
The only difference between a payed shoot (where I pay the model) and a TFP is the how long they have to wait for the edited pictures. For TFP it's agreed upon for each shoot. For a payed shoot it might take a looong time :)
