  I picked up my first camera in 2016, starting the way most photographers do—shooting just about anything that stood still long enough. With a simple point-and-shoot, I explored different genres while learning the fundamentals and getting comfortable with my equipment.
  
  Like many, I gave landscape photography a try… and quickly realised it wasn’t for me. Standing around waiting for the perfect shot felt a bit too much like fishing—peaceful, but not exactly exciting. I then moved into architectural photography, where I discovered a real appreciation for dramatic compositions and strong lines, even if it wasn’t something I wanted to pursue full-time.
  
  During the COVID period, photography took a back seat. With limited opportunities to go out and shoot, I paused my journey as an amateur photographer. That changed when a colleague asked me to do a portrait session. I dusted off my gear, gave it a shot—and something clicked.
  
  Since then, portrait photography has become my main focus. I enjoy working with people, experimenting with different styles, and creating images that feel expressive, cinematic, and sometimes a little unconventional. Along the way, I also discovered street photography, which adds a raw and spontaneous contrast to my more controlled portrait work.
  
  Today, I’m continuously exploring and refining my style within portrait photography—pushing creative boundaries, playing with light, and building concepts that tell a story.
